Steve Collins Investor Adviser Representative

Steve Collins

Introduction

For more than 20 years, Steve has helped individuals, families, federal employees, business owners, and retirees make informed financial decisions and work toward their long-term goals. As a financial advisor held to the fiduciary standard, he is committed to providing thoughtful guidance and personalized strategies that help clients navigate life’s financial complexities with confidence.

As a lifelong resident of Maryland, Steve grew up in Olney and now resides with his wife and 4 sons in Western Howard County.  He has a finance degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and coaching his sons’ sports teams.

Steve specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, investment management, and wealth preservation. He works with a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and families, helping them address important considerations such as retirement readiness, tax-efficient planning, estate and legacy goals, and risk management. Clients appreciate his ability to explain complex financial topics in a straightforward and understandable way.

Steve has extensive experience working with federal employees and understands the unique benefits and retirement planning opportunities available through federal service. Over the years, he has helped many federal employees make informed decisions regarding their retirement benefits, Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), pension options, and overall retirement strategy.

In addition, Steve has built longstanding relationships within the first responder community. As the son of a retired Montgomery County police officer, he has a personal appreciation for the challenges and opportunities facing law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other public servants. This background has helped him better understand the financial decisions many first responders encounter throughout their careers and into retirement.

Financial planning doesn’t have to be complicated.

Our team helps clients organize their financial lives, develop thoughtful strategies, and make the most of the opportunities available to them. Through a personalized fiduciary approach, we work to simplify complexity, provide clarity, and help clients stay focused on what matters most.
